Mexico - Cuisine

The state of Yucatan and Quintana Roo are not just about Mexican food, but also full of Mayan dishes. The use of spices are unique and with a variety. Tortilla chips are always served as a free appetizer to begin with.

The towns (Tulum, Akumal, Valladolid, Cancun) are all very familiar with tourists, so they will give you bottled water if you request water. It is about 20 Pesos though. Of course, other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are also available and very tasty.

Tipping is appreciated, but not necessary like how it is in the US. Waiters and waitresses are very friendly and often speak English as well.

Below are my recommendations in each town visited.
